Ghana Mural Project

In 2011, I painted a mural in North Keneshi neighborhood, a suburb of Accra, Ghana. This mural celebrated Ghanaian patterns, colors and culture.

To complete the mural, I worked with veteran sign painters and children to help execute the design and generate imagery. I interacted with the inhabitants in the neighborhood discussing the unfamiliar role of public art in contrast to hand painted public advertisements.
